Zane “Sparkplug” Finley
Born and raised in Lucas, Ohio, Zane “Sparkplug” Finley was introduced to combat sports almost as soon as he could walk. By the age of five, he was already competing, cutting his teeth across wrestling, jiu jitsu, kickboxing, and USA Boxing. While most kids were figuring out hobbies, Zane was building a foundation.
That early exposure shaped a well-rounded, pressure-forward style that would define his career. He continued competing across multiple disciplines for years, sharpening his skills until he was old enough to step into the cage.
Zane made his amateur MMA debut on August 20, 2022, quickly establishing himself on the Ohio circuit with a 3–1 record. Hungry for higher-level competition and long-term growth, he made the decision to take a leap of faith and relocate to Las Vegas in August 2023 to train at one of the world’s premier gyms, Syndicate MMA.
Since arriving in Las Vegas, Zane has elevated every aspect of his game. Training and coaching daily at Syndicate MMA, he has continued to develop not only as a fighter, but as a leader and technician. Competing for TUFF-N-UFF, he tested himself against some of the toughest amateur talent in the country and earned the TUFF-N-UFF Amateur Bantamweight Championship.
With experience across multiple combat sports and a resume built through constant competition, Zane has proven he belongs at the next level. Now, with his sights set firmly ahead, “Sparkplug” is preparing to make the transition to the professional ranks.
